French Open 2016 preview

Dominic Thiem

If you are thinking about using bookmakers free bets on the French open 2016, it may be worth considering one of the dark horses in the competition. The odds on the two male and female favorites are very poor and what this year has shown us is that it is the year of the underdogs. No one would have thought that Leicester City would have won the Premier League or Conor McGregor losing to Nate Diaz. Below I go into details about the players to watch out for and consider backing to win the tournament in France.

The Dark Horses are players who have never won a grand slam event, and you get the best free bets odds to place on them. Nick Kyrgios and Dominic Thiem are two that I have picked out, that stand a chance of winning the French Open 2016. Both players are outside the top ten ranked in the world, but they are both making progress quickly. Neither has made it past the middle weekend of a grand slam event, so they are both long shots.

More tennis fans will be placing bookmakers free bets on as outsiders are; Pablo Cuevas, Lucas Pouille along with Sascha Zverev. Another player to look out for is Nicolas Almagro, who over the past year his game has improved significantly.

Most people who bet will be placing their free bets and large wagers on tennis tournaments will be betting on Novak Djokovic. He is the number one player in the world and has looked dominant over the last few season. The French Open is the only trophy missing from his long list of achievements, and he will want to put that record straight this year.

In the women’s French Open 2016 it is hard to see past Williams or Halep not winning the competition this year. If you are looking for a dark horse to put your bookmaker free bets on, I would suggest Svetlana Kuznetsova. She has won the tournament in Paris before and her form this season looks good. If you want long shots to bet on, you should consider Jelena Ostapenko and Daria Kasatkina.

Lucie Safarova, Richard Deitsch, and Dominic Thiem

In the Men’s game, the top 10 players dominate the competitions. The betting odds will always favor Djokovic and record French Open winner, Rafael Nadal. If you want to increase your odds, you will need to pick a different player than these two. Andy Murray is in with a big chance of winning the competition this year, but he struggles with consistency in his game. He managed to beat Djokovic in the final of the Italian Open 6-3, 6-3 so will be full of confidence going into the tournament.

My Dark Horse for the women French Open 2016 is Madison Keys. Clay is not her favorite surface so she will need to be on top of her game if she is to get to the final. In the Italian Open, she made it to the final and faced Serena Williams. She lost that match but showed that she can compete with the best of the best. With an excellent draw and a bit of luck, she may go all the way.
